Immigration Assessments

The process of immigration can be very stressful and difficult. My goal is to create a safe place to not only complete the evaluation but also offer an opportunity to express yourself and receive resources that can support you in moving forward.

Type of Evaluations

Divergent Path therapy offers psychological evaluations for cases including, but not limited to:

1) U-Visas

2) T-Visas

3) Provisional (i.e., hardship) waivers

4) Cancellation of removal petitions

5) Violence against women act (VAWA) requests

6) Political asylum requests

7) Expedited petition requests

Process

Assessments generally involves interviews one-on-one with the client; reviewing any legal documents (e.g. affidavits or police reports); and if necessary, meeting with the client's family members. Results from the measures and interviews are interpreted and then written in a report. The report is then sent to the individual and/or their attorney.
